Source code license
Last updated October 30, 2026
This English text is a translation for your convenience. The German version is legally binding.
When you buy Publit.Si you get access to the source code and the right to use it as described below. You do not buy the copyright; it stays with Max Anton Schneider (“we”). This license is also in the LICENSE file in the repository.
1. Definitions
- Software: the Publit.Si source code in the private repository, including documentation, the Chrome extension and all updates.
- Licensee: the person or company the purchase was made for.
- User: a natural person with access to the Software through their own GitHub account.
- Clients: third parties whose social media accounts you manage with the Software.
2. Grant of rights
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right without time limit to use the Software within the scope of your plan. The license applies on purchase and forms part of our terms.
3. Plans
Pro
For one natural person with one GitHub account. You may use the Software for your own accounts and for the accounts of paying clients.
Agency
For one company with up to ten Users, each with their own GitHub account. The company may use the Software for its own accounts and its clients' accounts. If a User leaves, we swap their account for a new one on request by email.
Each GitHub account belongs to exactly one person. Do not share your access with anyone else.
4. What you may do
- install and run the Software on your own computers, including several Macs or Windows PCs of the Users in your plan,
- read, change and extend the code, for example to add platforms or formats,
- make backup copies,
- create, schedule and publish content for yourself and your clients with the Software.
You may use your own changes to the code under this license. They remain part of the Software.
5. What you may not do
- sell, share, publish or make the source code publicly available, changed or unchanged, including as a public fork,
- grant sublicenses or transfer the license,
- offer Publit.Si, or a product built on it, to third parties as a hosted service, as SaaS or installed on their devices,
- use the code to build or sell a competing product,
- remove copyright or license notices,
- circumvent the access control or use more accounts than your plan allows.
Acts permitted by law, for example under Sections 69d and 69e of the German Copyright Act, remain unaffected.
6. Updates
The license covers every update we release, at no extra cost. Details are in section 7 of the terms.
7. Open source components
The Software uses open source packages that are downloaded from public registries during installation. They are governed by their own licenses, for example MIT, Apache 2.0, LGPL (libvips through sharp) or EPL (elkjs). This license does not restrict your rights under them. You find their license texts in the respective packages under node_modules.
8. End of the license
The license ends on a full refund of the purchase or if we terminate it for good cause, for example because you share the code despite a warning. We then remove your repository access and you must delete all copies of the Software, including changed ones.
9. Warranty and liability
The platforms change their APIs and rules. You use the Software with your own developer apps and accounts and are responsible for following the platforms' rules. Warranty and liability are governed by sections 12 and 13 of the terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Final provisions
German law applies as described in section 16 of the terms. The German version is binding. Questions about the license: info@maxantonschneider.com.
